Setting goals for the New Year
Every end is a new beginning
New Year, new you? Did you write down your plans for the New Year? It’s what everyone has been doing in December and what I did this week too. I guess you can do this any time of the year, because the only person who really cares is you. The timing is what makes people feel they have to do it at the end or the beginning of the year. Like in: Every end is a new beginning? No matter what or when you feel like making plans or resolutions for the New Year, it’s good to have something to motivate you and to know which direction you’re heading. I already knew what I wanted, but I just couldn’t “see the forest for the trees “– I was overwhelmed by too many details. This post really helped me to get out of it and find a place for all those details. Once you have your big picture (again) and plug in your plans, everything seems to be falling into place. Read more on Chris’ blog about his three words and see if it’s something you could use yourself. And now, my words:
This time it has to work! I’ve printed those words large and bold, and stuck them everywhere I work, right above my desk, above my monitor and even on my mirrors, so I there’s no way I can forget them. Find yours, and do what works for you, but DO!
