Frame your dreams

A while ago I saw a vlog from a very inspiring person and life coach, Marie Forleo, about framing your dreams. According to her it’s 42% more likely that you will realize your dreams when you:

  • visualize them and
  • write them down.
My lovely home

So as my homework I searched on the internet for houses in Marietta, Georgia in the USA, where my sister Debbie lives and I want to move/emigrate to. Since I love old historic houses, because they feel alive and have a story to tell, I was searching for small houses to live by myself now that I’m divorced. I saw this cute historic townhouse:

Isn’t it lovely? What I like the most of it is the porch! To me it stands for cosiness especially with family and what makes it totally complete are the swings. I love them!

My garden to be

Behind the house I would have a garden which may look like this, but smaller and a little more natural or savage:

I love flowers. They brighten up my day. Besides flowers I would grow vegetables and fruits so that I can eat them organic.

My future pets

I also would love to have a dog and a cat or maybe two.

And maybe my mom would live with me if she wants to.

The house will be situated in a lively neighbourhood with friendly neighbours. We will be able to walk, bike or use public transportation nearby which are good for our health and the environment. It’s also necessary because I can’t drive anymore for the reason that the MG (muscle disease) sometimes makes my eyes unstable.

Furthermore I would love my family members to visit me now and then at my home.

Home is where the heart is

As you can see I don’t have really big dreams (anymore). Maybe it’s because I’ve already done and seen a lot. I’ve had many different jobs, partied a lot, have met many different people, travelled a lot and have lived in different countries. These were very nice experiences but what I’ve missed the most in all those years was being with my lovely family.

So now the time has come to reunite with them in the USA as a part of my dreams. I’ve missed them very much and a lot of their lives and all the time I also never felt completely at home anywhere. Maybe I finally will when I reunite with my family, because as the saying goes: Home is where the heart is….

And how about you?

What are your dreams? And how would you frame them?
