Creative ideas for using a scarf
Scarves, I love them! There are so many things you can do with scarves, whether you want to stay warm, adorn your neckline or add color to your outfit, you can’t run out of options.
For Christmas I received a wonderful piece of jewelry made by Pineda Covalin, a duo of Mexican designers, that can be worn as a bracelet or necklace. The extraordinary thing about this piece is that some of the beads are wrapped in silk, spaced with silver beads and no attachment at the end. To fasten the bracelet/necklace, you just tie a knot. Can’t say I have seen anything like this before and I’m a big fan of unique things.
I wanted to check what else they have so I searched for their website and it looks like silk scarves are their main products. The scarves are like an artistic explotion of color and you can clearly find the Mexican roots back in the designs. The main site is under construction but here is a link to Pineda Covalin International, which will give you an idea of what they sell.
I also found this video on their Facebook page, which will not only give you great ideas if you’re stuck on how to use a scarf, but it is also a very clever marketing product. When you watch the video, you will get so much inspiration to get creative with your own scarves, but it will also make you want to BUY their products. I’m a proud owner of the necklace/bracelet and wouldn’t mind adding more of their pieces to my collection. Check out the video or their website! (And no, I’m not getting paid for this review/recommendation, I just love their unique creativity).
