Be happier; don’t worry about these 10 things
You must have heard this before:
“No one else is responsible for your happiness BUT you!”
Looking at the list below, I have to admit it to be very true. While I am guilty of maybe 3 things on this list, I have noticed that at times, they have kept me from taking action. I have also seen many people around me, really ‘stuck’ in their lives because they were not taking personal responsibility, by (not) doing the things to make them happier. It’s so much easier not to analyze yourself… This post is for them – you know who you are!
If you would just stop doing even one of these things listed, I am sure that improvement in attitude and mood will not be far behind.
- Blaming: it’s everybody’s fault but yours
- Impressing: using possessions to get attention only goes skin-deep
- Clinging: holding on to what you think you need, instead of want
- Interrupting: tells others that you’re not really listening
- Whining: what’s done is done; move on to how you can do better
- Controlling: creates too much pressure and is no fun
- Criticizing: nobody is like you and you are not perfect; different is okay!
- Preaching: you don’t know everything, so stop pretending
- Dwelling: experiences made you who you are; learn and live on
- Fearing: fear can keep you from taking that important first step.
So… Don’t worry, be happy!!
